Account Manager | San Antonio, TX
A global company that specializes in risk management, risk consulting,
insurance broking, financial solutions, and insurance program management
services is seeking an Account Manager in San Antonio, TX. This position
acts as the primary client relationship manager with responsibility for
overall account servicing and maintenance.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Expand client relationships by analyzing, communicating and
eliminating coverage gaps
- Provide proactive day-to-day client service by anticipating client
needs
- Review and analyze client exposures, loss experience and current
coverages
- Recommend appropriate products and services.
- Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients
- Monitor the receipt of policies from markets
- Grow the business as well as retain exsisting clients
- Adhere to a customer-focused sales and service approach
- Ensure that all regulatory, compliance and transparency requirements
are met
- Implement and maintain a quality of service plan ensuring the accuracy
of binders, policies, and other relevant documents
MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of commercial insurance experience, preferably in an agency
environment.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of commercial P&C insurance coverages.
- Demonstrate basic business knowledge/acumen skills.
- Holds appropriate Texas P&C license
- Willing and able to obtain other out-of-state licenses as required
- Demonstrated ability to grow client relationships and round out
accounts.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver highly technical and complex
information
- Strong client service and phone skills are a must.
- Have a working knowledge of the ACCORD forms
- Some travel required.
- Highly proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting
software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using agency management software, knowledge of Applied is
ideal.
